Dr. Martin J. Giuffre

Dr. Giuffre is a graduate of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta. He received a Bachelor of Medical Science in 1975, MD with Distinction in 1977, and a Plastic Surgery Fellowship (FRCS(C)) in 1981. He did a 6 month teaching fellowship at the University of Alberta Hospital. He began his practice in December 1981. He was appointed Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery in 1984 and Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery in 2013 at the University Hospital in the Division of Plastic Surgery. He was elected as the President of the Alberta Society of Plastic Surgeons in 1985 and served as President from 1985 until 2005. He has worked with the AMA (Alberta Medical Association) as the Plastic Surgery Provincial Fee Representative from 1983 until 2007, chaired the AMA negotiating committee with the WCB (Worker’s Compensation Board) and works with the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons and the WCB as a consultant.

Dr. Giuffre is a Plastic Surgeon in Edmonton, Alberta, a member in good standing of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Medical Counsel of Canada, the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He continues to teach medical students and residents as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta. His non cosmetic practice focuses on reconstruction following trauma (injury), post cancer reconstruction, congenital birth defects and general, breast and hand reconstruction. His reconstructive practice is done at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton. 

All patients are seen in consultation by Dr. Giuffre, in his office, prior to booking a surgical procedure.

The office is adjacent to the surgical facility.
