Facility
Our surgical suite, located in the Meadowlark Health Centre is one of the top surgical suites in Alberta. The 5500 square foot facility was built in 2001. It contains both a waiting room for new patients consulting with Dr. Giuffre, as well as a secondary waiting room for post operative patients returning for their post operative checkups with Dr. Giuffre.

Pre-Operative rooms for patient assessment prior to surgery
Post-Operative rooms for patient care
3 Operating Rooms
2 General Anesthetic Rooms
1 Local Anesthetic Room
A large Surgical Suite recovery room has capacity for 8 post-operative recovery patients.
A separate room is delegated to surgical linens, drapes, the latest equipment, and sterilization of the surgical instruments.
In addition, we have a room for our esthetician where our laser treatments and injectables (botox, juvéderm, and restylane) are performed, as well as offices for our managers and receptionists.

The surgical suite is a one way track from the front to the rear, where a patient who has had surgery never has to return through a populated area.

The patient is then seen in the pre-operative waiting room for assessment by Dr.Giuffre and the anesthetist
The patient moves further into the surgical suite into the operating theatres where surgery is performed
The patient then continues into the recovery room
Once recovered, the patient is assisted out the patient pickup exit located at the rear of the surgical suite
Our facility is current and annually accredited by the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons. The rate of infection is extremely low, as only clean surgical procedures are performed in the operating theatres (no infections).
Our nursing staff make the experience superior for our patients. With over 20 years of consistent staff in our surgical suite and office, we are a team with extensive experience managing cosmetic patients.
All of our nursing staff and doctors have CPR accreditation and Acute Cardiac Life Support accreditation.
The anesthetist that provide anesthesiology for our patients are all fully accredited anesthesiologists working full time at local hospitals, experienced in a wide variety of general anesthetics for all surgical specialties
All surgeons using our surgical suite are not only doing cosmetic surgery, but provide a wide variety of plastic and reconstructive surgeries at the local city hospitals.
